My teaching philosophy…

I believe each student who expresses a passion to sing has a story to tell. Developing the proper technique to tell that story is the very basis of what I teach. Without a strong technical footing, it can be frustrating and extremely daunting to approach music. I strive to make each individual student feel comfortable, confident, and excited to sing! Above all, the main point of singing is to have fun, and my goal is to find what makes it fun for each student and teach them technique based on an individually catered approach. I also believe it is deeply important to develop an understanding of the musical language, which is why I teach beginner piano lessons to singers as well.
